Job summary

TierFive Solutions Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a passionate Managed Services Tier 2 Engineer to provide second-level support for end users, handle escalated incidents and service requests, and analyze customer environments for improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent computer, server, and network troubleshooting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
• Advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, domain services, GPO, and related server apps
• Experience with OS migrations (e.g., Windows 7 to Windows 10) and related challenges
• Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting and deployment
• Strong Office 365 client-side support with tenant administration a plus
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting and design
• Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools, patching, and asset management
• Familiarity with hosted cloud solutions and IaaS
• Strong documentation skills
• Experience with ITSM tools and service desk concepts
• Previous experience in a managed services environment preferred
• Experience with data center backup solutions (Azure Site Recovery, Carbonite, AppAssure, etc.) desired

Responsibilities

• Provide second tier support to end users by handling escalated incidents and service requests
• Handle additional project work as assigned by management
• Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements to customer environments and application landscapes
• May assist in implementing and supporting systems, GPO, VMware, Azure and other cloud technologies, and networking configurations
