Job summary

IT Voice in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Tier 2 IT Technician to keep networks and systems running smoothly. You will install, maintain, test, and repair IT infrastructure and provide frontline support to users, helping the university community and clients stay productive.

The role requires at least 3 years in IT, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and readiness to perform on-site and occasional field visits. Hybrid work arrangement with benefits of health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT experience with system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Must live in Lakeland, FL greater area.
• Working toward or achieved CompTIA+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications.
• Knowledge of computer systems, software, hardware, networking, and communications.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a strong commitment to customer service, addressing client needs promptly.
• Perform general problem solving and assistance on diverse software applications and hardware systems.
• Provide instruction and training to faculty, staff, and students on new technologies.
• Coordinate and maintain records such as network users, security, and inventory levels.
• Participate in evaluation of hardware and software acquisitions and network updates.
• Serve as a primary project member on technology projects with moderate scope and impact.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, workstations, and related equipment.
• Conduct weekly site visits to clients in the field for on-site support.
• Stay updated with current IT developments and trends.
