Tier 2 IT Support Specialist - Arlington, VA

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to enhance employee productivity by serving as the primary contact for IT support and issue resolution. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, LAN, and VDI issues through various channels including phone, email, remote access, and in person. The ideal candidate thrives on delivering exceptional customer service, takes initiative, and manages multiple priorities efficiently.

Location & Schedule

Arlington, VA with a schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide guidance, assistance, and follow-up on client questions and system malfunctions.
  2. Support users via remote tools and participate in support rotation.
  3. Assist in user account management, onboarding/offboarding, and access control.
  4. Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
  5. Maintain IT asset inventory and support lifecycle management.
  6. Contribute to knowledge base development.
  7. Identify and report potential problems and trends.
  8. Install hardware and peripherals.
  9. Configure and upgrade hardware and software.
  10. Support videoconference setups and support.
  11. Escalate complex issues to senior staff.
  12. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate IT or Service Desk roles.
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills
  • O365 Administration experience.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
  • Experience supporting mobile devices.
