WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Tier 2 AV Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing and managing a variety of AV technologies at client sites. Your duties include comprehensive cable management, hardware installation, and ensuring compliance with all contract requirements. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues and must be prepared to travel extensively for project support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide daily reporting to the Project Management team.
  2. Install a wide variety of technology into clients' existing and new build project sites.
  3. Cable Management.
  4. Plan layout and install of all 1st fix hardware to include bracketry and ceiling speaker hardware ensuring required general contract requirements are in place.
  5. Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts.
  6. Possess basic carpentry and/or installation skills.
  7. Proficient use and safety with power tools.
  8. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems.
  9. Travel as needed to other sites for project support and/or installs.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  1. Some experience with any of the following: Crestron/Extron/QSYS/Cisco.
  2. Must have an understanding of Signal Flow.
  3. Knowledge of how to build AV racks to required AVIXA standards ensuring required airflow and layouts.
  4. Knowledge of all cabling used in the AV industry and experience terminating associated connectors.
  5. Must be agile and exhibit a strong sense of urgency.
  6. Must be responsive, efficient, have excellent customer interaction skills, and exhibit a high level of professionalism.
  7. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under immense pressure.
  8. Must be engaged in the process of technical development.
  9. Be eligible, willing, and able to work and travel globally when required.
  10. Good organization and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  11. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Must have critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  13. Be flexible and adaptable to change and hours of work, to meet the needs of the customer.
  14. Be a motivated team player.
  15. Must have a valid driver’s license.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  1. 1-3 years’ experience in the AV/VC industry.
  2. Knowledge of Signal flow.
  3. Some experience with AV Installation and any: Cisco/Extron/Crestron/QSYS.
  4. AVIXA CTS/CTS-I Certification is desired.
  5. OSHA 10/30 Certificate is highly desired.
