Full time (Permanent position)

We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our team in a remote capacity. The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for maintaining and updating PCs, scanners, printers, and other equipment, as well as troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. This role requires a proactive individual who can assist with software application maintenance and upgrades, manage user accounts, and provide technical support to staff.

$31 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT support tickets submitted by staff, assessing and prioritizing their urgency.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the IT Manager regarding ticket status and priorities.
  • Assist Tier 1/2 Technicians with escalated IT support issues.
  • Perform on-site tasks, including testing UPS batteries, checking equipment for operational issues, and troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
  • Deliver and install new or replacement equipment as needed, including computers, printers, and phones.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in the equipment room and assist with inventory management of network devices.
  • Prepare and modify standard operating procedures and technical documentation for the IT department.
  • Make switch port changes in Cisco switches and manage DNS, DHCP, and drive mapping tasks.
  • Assist in the installation and upgrading of software programs as necessary.
  • Travel to various office locations as needed for troubleshooting and equipment delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations related to the position.
  • Be available after hours for urgent support needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration is required.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP operations is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Distributed File Service is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
