Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Network Engineer Associate to support ISR missions at Langley AFB, VA. You will join a team delivering monitoring, incident response, and help desk services across a global enterprise.

The role emphasizes fault management, node monitoring, and documentation via trouble tickets, with on-site shifts and US citizenship required. Candidates should have TS/SCI, IAT II (Security+), and 3+ years in network operations; security-conscious with growth

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Shift work is part of the role.
• Minimum of three years of network operations experience.
• IAT Level II - Security+ certification required.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault management to detect, isolate, and correct abnormal network and information processing system component anomalies on a 24-hours-a-day, seven (7) days-a-week basis.
• Monitor all nodes for operational integrity.
• Respond to trouble calls and initiate/maintain trouble tickets and logs.
• Populate and examine logs for troubleshooting and capture metrics.
• Provide technical support to resolve issues or escalate as needed.
• Monitor and administer network tools for troubleshooting and trend analysis.
• Log network issues for reports and trends in the approved system of record.
• Provide technical support in data network planning, engineering, and design.
• Report trouble calls to the MCC in the DOC with hourly updates until resolution.
• Provide quarterly metrics illustrating trends and workload in PowerPoint.
