Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to adults, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting, including assessment, intake, intervention, treatment planning, triage.
  • Provide counseling to clients remotely via telehealth while maintaining ethical standards and adhering to telehealth guidelines.
  • Ensure documentation meets contract, licensure, and VBHCS requirements in a timely manner.
  • Meet productivity standards based on hours worked per month.
  • Coordinate with courts, schools, foster homes, family members, case managers, and state agencies as needed.

Job description

Agree to follow all applicable laws and regulations, including VBHCS Standards of Conduct and VBHCS Policies and Procedures, in order to create and maintain a healthcare and business environment that is committed to integrity and ethical conduct.The primary responsibility of this role is to complete intake assessments and coordinate service linkage for clients appropriate for outpatient services, crisis stabilization, CSU, detoxification, or inpatient referral.Duties include but are not limited to:Provide clinical services to adults, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting, including assessment, intake, intervention, treatment planning, and triage.Clinical responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments giving proper diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment planning, and making appropriate referrals to internal and external services and support systems, and participating in case staffing. Services are provided to adults, children, youth, and their family systems. Provide clinical services to a population of outpatient adults, children, adolescents and adults who have alcohol and drug treatment issues or co-morbid health problems. Provide intervention, assessment/intake, treatment planning, triage, individual therapy, group therapy, and/or play therapy, as necessary.Will provide counseling to clients remotely while maintaining ethical standards and adhering to telehealth guidelines, having strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport virtually, and an understanding of technology to deliver effective therapy.Clinicians will ensure that all documentation necessary to meet contract, licensure, and appropriate behavioral health organization requirements pertaining to these services will be completed in a timely manner per VBHCS standards. Employee is expected to meet the productivity standards as outlined by VBHCS, based on the number of hours worked per month.Serve as a liaison and collaborate with other service providers and referral sources as needed to support treatment goals. This may include coordination with courts, schools, foster homes, family members, case managers, and state agencies.Must possess a Masters degree (license-eligible) in a clinical field such as social work, counseling, psychology, or a related discipline. Demonstrates a courteous, diplomatic, and service-oriented approach. Exhibits strong assessment skills, particularly in evaluating suicide risk and potential harm to others. Capable of exercising sound judgment and performing effectively under pressure. Knowledgeable of commitment procedures and available community resources. Maintains timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of client records and work-related activities.
