Bruckner Truck & Equipment in Odessa, TX is seeking a Tier 1 Technician. This role builds on Tier 2 and Tier 3 training and requires ongoing online and off-site training to master air, fuel, and after-treatment systems.

In addition, a Tier 1 technician will have achieved additional levels of on-line training and approved off site training and specified below. A technician will not be considered for Tier 1 advancement until they have a minimal of five years on the job training.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO THOSE STATED IN TIER 2 & 3 DESCRIPTIONS1. Completed advanced online portion training in Mack & Volvo in our Dual branded locations and single brand in those single branded locations. This requirement may also be met using Cummins Training, Medium Duty Training, & or Allison training.2. Actively working on approved off-site training prerequisites and or attending off-site training towards a certification in the agreed upon training path.3. Advanced knowledge of: (Air System, Fuel Systems, After treatment systems etc.)EXAMPLES OF SKILLS NEEDED TO MASTER THIS LEVEL1. Performs timely repairs, minimum 90% efficiency and 80% Proficiency.2. Performs quality repairs should have minimal rework based on value, frequency, and managerial discretion.3. Ability to lead & train Tier "2" & "3" Technicians.4. Can diagnose and repair advanced electronic, lighting, and electrical systems.PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS1. Complete all Tier 2 & 3 Job Role Requirements.2. Must complete a Minimum of 3 items listed below.3. Complete in 3 areas of the ASE “Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Certifications”4. Master Certified in at least 2 Mack or Volvo Pro-Path Segments.5. D.O.T. Inspection Certified.6. Certified in at Least one Cummins engine platforms.7. Certified in a Medium Duty (Hino, Mitsubishi, or Isuzu)8. Allison Transmission Certified (one)9. Have valid Commercial Driver’s License.10. Active in the Safety Committee11. Willing to participate in the Mack Master’s/Vista Tech competition
