Job summary

Standard Textile is seeking workers in Thomaston, CT to operate warp handling and weaving support equipment. The role requires attention to safety and adherence to process standards, with daily handling of beams and routine checks across weaving operations.

Ideal candidates will perform mechanical checks, stage equipment, and ensure pattern accuracy while complying with plant safety rules and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, climbing, reaching and handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate motorized and manual warp trucks to pick up and distribute weave machine beams.
• Report any mechanical issues.
• Stage tie-equipment and warps for tie-back.
• Avoid hitting beam head on other warps.
• Scan all weave machine beams prior to moving into weave room.
• Load, comb and/or lease warp to ensure straightness.
• Ensure all ends in pattern prior to tying.
• Ensure patterns are correct.
• Put machine in oil bath one time a week.
• Follow plant safety rules.
