League One Volleyball (LOVB, pronounced “love”) is reimagining the sport of volleyball, and is the only professional league that has a youth-to-pro ecosystem. We believe in the power of sport to create better life outcomes for those who play it.
Launched in 2019, LOVB today has the largest youth volleyball community in the U.S., with over 14,000 youth athletes across twenty-six states. LOVB is launching its pro league in January 2025 from the grassroots up, built from its foundation of junior volleyball clubs and led by the world’s best professional players. The idea behind LOVB is championing athletes through their entire volleyball journey, from getting introduced to the sport and developing as youth players, to supporting their recruitment to college programs, to creating pathways for athletes to play professional volleyball here in the United States.
It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball, with record audiences viewing the college game, volleyball the #1 most played girls' U.S. youth team sport, and 38M current and former players across the country today. Through LOVB, we are focused on driving both participation in the sport and its fandom, while actively supporting youth and professional players. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women’s sport.
The Role:
As the Ticketing Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the ticketing strategy for the Pro league. You will implement the structure for league level sales (season tickets, flex products, etc) and single game sales for each of LOVB’s six markets. In addition, you will work with key technology and delivery partners, leveraging their expertise to effectively manage and ensure successful partnerships. This role requires proactive planning for on-site ticketing operations, along with the analysis of sales data to drive informed decision-making, sales strategies and marketing campaign development.
The Ticketing Operations Specialist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ticket sales, service and operations team, events and operations team, commercial, fan experience and the Pro community, as well as with venues (booking and ticketing staff), ticketing service providers, LOVB customers, technology support and other vendors and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
● Oversee box office operations for both Houston and Salt Lake City venues. Liaise and build strong relationships with other arena box offices as appropriate to ensure timely response for all ticketing needs.
● Execute on strategic plan for inventory management and broader ticket initiatives. Work closely with sales team to execute all ticketing needs, including requests, processes, payments, ticket fulfillment in agreed upon timeframe with management.
● Create and maintain a comprehensive sales tracking grid throughout the season, ensuring regular updates and uploads to the shared drive. Regularly track PVF events, their sales patterns, pricing and strategies.
● Perform a thorough analysis of partner offerings to maximize LOVB’s relationship opportunities and benefits.
● Coordinate with sales and marketing teams through each phase of the on-sale process smoothly and efficiently.
● Support manager of sales and service in handling service issues, requests, fulfillment of season ticket holder benefits and preparation for renewal process.
● Provide key internal partners visibility into seat maps, hold, code, inventory availability and potential for capacity changes.
Requirements:
● BA in Business preferred.
● 3-5 years in a ticketing function, preferably in sports or entertainment, with progressive career growth.
● Experience working with Ticketmaster venues preferred.
● Knowledge of the live event ticket industry.
● Experience developing and implementing comprehensive ticketing strategies and loyalty programs.
● Understanding of ticketing systems, CRM platforms, Excel and other standard sales reporting platforms.
● Knowledge of ticketing systems, such as TicketMaster.
Additional Desired Skills:
● Proven track record of using a CRM system as a forecasting and pipeline tool to lead goal hitting campaigns.
● Working knowledge of sustainable event planning and delivery.
● Knowledge of the sport of volleyball.

Location:
Flexibility to work anywhere in the US (primarily over video conference and digital platforms) with need for significant travel, especially in-season. Flexible with your schedule – your work hours will be based on business needs.
The pay range listed reflects the pay range for this position. The annual base salary for this role is $65,000-75,000, plus our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level, among other things.
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time. With approval, experienced employees with critical skills may be hired above this guideline.
