Bally's The Queen Casino Baton Rouge is hiring a Part-Time Ticket Writer for the sportsbook window. You will accept bets, write tickets, and pay winning tickets using a sports computer system on-site in Baton Rouge, LA.

Candidates should have cash handling and customer service experience, be 21+, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Knowledge of sportsbook lines and regulations is beneficial; training on internal systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior race and sports wagering experience preferred.
• Prior cash handling experience required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Operating Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accepts bets and writes tickets for sporting events using a sports computer system.
• Maintains a till and cash handling procedures for tickets and vouchers.
• Pays winners and processes transactions accurately and reconciles till at end of shift.
• Maintains a neat, organized sports wagering window for the next shift.
• Ensures all records and forms comply with company, state and gaming regulations.
• Performs duties in accordance with policies and procedures.

Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sportsbook Cashier provides prompt, courteous, accurate and overall exceptional service to guests.
• Accepts bets and writes tickets for all sporting events from guests in a professional and courteous manner, utilizing a sports computer system.
• The Sportsbook Cashier receives sport tickets from guests and pays guests who present winning tickets and vouchers utilizing a sports computer system.
• Maintains and balances a till for use in issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers including following void procedures and cash handling procedures.
• The Sportsbook Cashier maintains a neat and well-stocked window for the next shift.
• Process and maintain accurate transactions and reconciliations.
• Must know all terms and conditions pertaining to sports wagering.
• Must be fully aware of all lines and odds in the new Sportsbook.
• Accurately and thoroughly complete all requisite Company, federal, state, tax, and/or gaming regulation records and forms.
• Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained because of normal working procedures.
• Perform all duties in accordance with established Company, departmental, and regulatory policies, and procedures.

  Target Compensation Range:

  • $13.50 per hour

Preferred

The ability to operate the Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software system are preferred.

Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process preferred.

Six (6) months of prior experience in race and sports wagering preferred.

Prior cash handling experience required.

Customer Service experience required.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High School diploma or GED required.
