Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking an entry-level Ticket/Gate Agent in Las Vegas to welcome customers, guide them through the ticketing and baggage check-in process, and assist with boarding. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth travel experiences and safety across operations.

This position offers exposure to airport operations with mentorship from leaders to help advance your career. Seasonal hours may vary by station needs and calendar year demand.

Qualifications

  • Must have safety and security focus for self and others.
  • Able to interact respectfully with diverse customers and teammates.
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and authorization to work in the United States.
  • English language proficiency is required; strong verbal and written communication is essential.
  • Basic digital literacy is required and familiarity with IT systems for ticketing and boarding is preferred.
  • Must pass a physical ability test (PAT) and a Customer Service Assessment.
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal as required by airport operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the check-in and boarding process, including seat assignments and gate announcements.
  • Assist with baggage handling and ensure correct travel documents are available.
  • Operate loading bridges and secure aircraft doors.
  • Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers through the airport.

Responsibilities

Our agents understand the demands of air travel and are determined to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible for our customers by helping with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning the check-in process, boarding process, and seat availability, including making gate announcements and ensuring customers have the accurate travel documentation.
  • Tagging and lifting baggage from scales to conveyor belts. Some bags will weigh up to 70 pounds.
  • Operating loading bridges.
  • Opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  • Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.

Ticket/Gate Seasonal Agents work between 20 to 40 hours per week and 150 and 800 hours per year. Seasonal work will depend on the operational need of the station and location. Recalls can happen at any time during the calendar year based on operational demand.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
  • Possess basic digital literacy.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
  • Pass a Customer Service Assessment.
  • Ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
