Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Ticket Checker at Hunter Mountain for the 2026/2027 winter season. You will greet guests, validate access, and help create a safe, fun experience on the Lift Experience Team. Entry level position with outdoor duties and weekend/holiday shifts.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with housing availability and opportunities for training, growth, and additional perks such as free passes and employee discounts. Seasonal role with potential for extended opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for the entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces; may need to provide some of your own gear.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner.
  • BeBeSafe training and safety standards adherence are required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver premium guest service by providing information and assistance with a smile.
  • Validate tickets to ensure guests have a valid product before loading lifts.
  • Work cooperatively with Lift Operators and other teams to manage lift lines safely and load lifts efficiently.
  • Maintain and secure departmental equipment – scan devices, radios, etc.
  • Escalate issues to leadership as they arise, from safety to products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Ticket Checker, you will play an essential role in creating an experience of a lifetime for our guests on the Lift Experience Team. The team’s mission is to provide employees and guests with a seamless end‑to‑end experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. You will primarily work in the lift mazes by greeting guests by name and validating their access each time, while providing a fun, welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the integrity of our products.

Job Specifications
