Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA is seeking an Aircraft Component Repair Technician 2 to inspect, repair and overhaul thrust reverser systems in our MRO environment.

You will disassemble components, inspect mechanical and electrical assemblies, set up test equipment, perform functional tests, and ensure conformity with AMM, blueprints and FAA requirements while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ability to read blueprints and engineering docs.
• Two years of related experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, or electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble thrust reverser components per AMM and manuals.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical assemblies for conformity.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional tests.
• Inspect detail parts using blueprints and manuals.
• Repair and fabricate parts per drawings and data.
• Remove skins and install/reinstall parts on flight controls and structure.
• Maintain paperwork per FAA RS requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with regulations.
