Job summary

Community Development for All People seeks a mature Thrive to 5 Director to oversee a suite of programs serving South Side families with children from birth to age five. The role reports to the Executive Director and supervises Thrive to 5 staff, volunteers, and interns.

The director will drive strategic planning, coordinate events, manage budgets, and build partnerships to support families with prenatal through early education services. In-person work location is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years’ experience in program design and implementation.
• 3+ years’ experience in community settings; grass-roots outreach.
• Experience in program budgeting and grant writing.
• Supervisory experience including coaching and development of staff.
• Self-starter with ability to develop operational plans and execute with excellence.
• Experience with low-income, marginalized communities.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal).
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Excellent organizational, project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and strategic planning for Thrive to 5 program activities.
• Supervise staff, volunteers, and interns assigned to the program to achieve goals.
• Oversee quarterly Family Events and twice-yearly Community Baby Showers.
• Distribute Pack and Plays for safe sleep to eligible families.
• Oversee monthly parenting education classes and kindergarten readiness workshops.
• Develop kindergarten readiness program strategies and partnerships.
• Create and maintain community partnerships for program activities and events.
• Oversee data collection and reporting to funders.
• Develop individualized family plans and recruit new families.
• Coordinate Monthly Check In System with referrals and resources.
