Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a THRIVE Teaching Fellow to engage in classroom instruction while pursuing teacher certification. This one-year position supports students on Title I campuses and creates a pathway to become a classroom teacher in SBISD after certification.

Fellows work under master teachers, participate in co-teaching and instructional/support roles, and develop lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum.

Qualifications

• Must be accepted into the SBISD THRIVE Program.
• Bachelor's degree or minimum of 90 college hours from an accredited institution with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Willing to complete teacher certification requirements as part of the THRIVE Program.
• 15-24 hours in the subject area for high school English/Math/Science or as identified in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Co-teach lessons and provide instructional support with master teachers.
• Lead small-group interventions and manage transitions.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Assess student learning and provide ongoing feedback.
• Assist with data collection, grading and record-keeping.
• Maintain classroom environment conducive to learning and manage behavior.
• Communicate with students and parents professionally.
• Participate in staff development and maintain required records.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
