Goodwill Industries of Greater New York & Northern New Jersey is seeking a Thrift Store Sales Specialist in East Brunswick to deliver friendly customer service, assist donors, and handle transactions. The role supports daily retail operations and helps maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

You will restock merchandise, maintain store cleanliness, enforce store policies, and assist customers while contributing to the store’s overall success and mission.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly.
• Support donors and direct to donation drop-off area.
• Regularly restock merchandise onto the sales floor, ensuring compliance with visual standards.
• Promote Goodwill’s Rewards and Round-Up programs.
• Process sales transactions quickly and accurately.
• Resolve customer concerns and escape issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and checkout area.
• Follow store policies, including safety guidelines and occupancy limits when required.
• Operate the register and thank customers for their purchases.
• Monitor store entry and enforce safety measures if assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the store team and broader organizational goals.
