The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, maintain organized displays, and create a welcoming shopping environment for customers and donors.

You will greet shoppers, ring up sales, balance the register, restock merchandise, and keep the store clean and safe. This part-time role offers paid training and a team-oriented workplace with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly customer service
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
