Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Command in Belton, MO is seeking a Store Sales Associate I to deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced thrift store environment. You will assist donors and shoppers, handle cash and POS transactions, balance cash drawers, and keep the store clean and well organized.

This role supports sales goals and embodies the charity’s mission. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or are pursuing one, basic computer and cash-handling skills, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and lift/move merchandise
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and represent The Salvation Army’s mission and values
• Greet donors and shoppers and handle register transactions
• Operate POS system and balance cash accurately
• Open/close cash drawers per policies
• Maintain a clean, organized store and restock merchandise as needed
• Display merchandise and replenish stock regularly
• Support store productivity benchmarks and sales goals
• Collaborate with team and management
