Job summary

Treasure Coast Hospice is seeking an assistant to the Regional Operations Manager to support daily operations of the Stuart Thrift Store. The role covers opening/closing, cash handling, merchandising, and coordinating staff and volunteers while ensuring excellent customer interactions.

The incumbent will manage donation processing, pricing, and occasional pickups, and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Attendance is required; experience in retail and driving a company truck is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience in a retail environment.
• Some management experience preferred.
• Excellent people skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. in-house, in homes, and in storage areas.
• Attendance is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Operations Manager in daily thrift store operations.
• Handle store opening/closing, cash management, merchandising, and scheduling staff/volunteers.
• Price donations, sort items, manage expenses, and make quick in-store decisions.
• Organize donation pickups with outside vendors and drive company truck as needed.
• Coordinate weekly promotions and sales; train volunteers and staff.
• Support compliance with policies and laws; uphold the organization’s standards.
