Job summary

Treasure Coast Hospice in Port St. Lucie, FL seeks a regular full-time official or manager to support the Regional Operations Manager at the Stuart Thrift Store. Responsibilities include daily thrift-store operations, donor coordination, and staff/volunteer supervision.

Requirements include retail experience, some management background, a valid FL driver’s license with insurance, and the ability to lift furniture. Attendance is essential to the role.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience in a retail environment.
• Some management experience preferred.
• Excellent people skills and ability to maintain harmonious relationships.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift small furniture items and move them as needed.
• Attendance is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store procedures including cash management and scheduling staff and volunteers.
• Price, sort donations and manage expenses; make instant decisions as situations arise.
• Organize donation pick-ups with outside vendors and small furniture pickups from donors.
• Drive company truck when required; organize weekly promotions and sales.
• Train volunteers and staff; maintain positive customer relations.
• Support compliance with organization policies and applicable laws.
