Job summary

Raleigh Dream Center is seeking a Thrift Store Manager to lead the launch and daily operation of RDC's thrift store in Raleigh. You will supervise staff and volunteers, ensure opening/closing, manage inventory, and uphold security and donor relations.

The role requires strong leadership, budget awareness, excellent customer service, and the ability to work weekends and evenings. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a business or retail management degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; business/retail degree preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers in thrift/nonprofit settings.
• Experience with inventory control, merchandising, cash handling, and bank reconciliation.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Square) and basic office tools.

Responsibilities

• Launch thrift store operations in Q3 2026.
• Oversee day-to-day thrift store operations, including on-time opening and closing.
• Supervise paid staff and volunteers; interview, hire, and train.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; provide regular feedback and evaluations.
• Maintain security, budget adherence, and cash reporting.
• Ensure excellent customer service and merchandising presentation.
• Maintain store upkeep, safety, and layout.
• Foster a positive work culture aligned with RDC mission.
