Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Joplin, Missouri is seeking an Assistant Store Manager. This full-time position offers 35–40 hours per week at a starting pay of $16.50 per hour, located at 402 E 7th Street, Joplin, MO.

You will support store operations, supervise staff, and help drive sales in a community-focused environment. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience, or two years without a diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year related work experience or 2 years without diploma.
• Ability to read and comprehend job descriptions, cleaning instructions and MSDS.
• Must operate a cash register, give correct changes and be bondable.
• Team player, self-starter with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and staff to promote positive relationships.
• Sort and price donated items for display.
• Assist in loading/unloading of the store's truck and donors' vehicles.
• Prepare monthly sales reports and assist in scheduling.
• Adhere to Salvation Army policies and safeguard cash and assets.
