Job summary

Blue Ridge Care Services is seeking a dedicated Thrift Associate to assist with daily thrift shop operations, pricing items, and delivering excellent customer service. You will help raise funds to support hospice services and patient care within a community-focused nonprofit.

The role involves working with volunteers, handling sales and deposits, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment during standard hours. Per diem, as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred/willingness to learn required.
• Retail experience and customer service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Price, stock, and merchandise display items for sale in the thrift shop.
• Open, close, and ensure shop operations during hours with strong customer service.
• Coordinate with volunteers and orient new volunteers to procedures and safety.
• Maintain receipts, deposits, and daily sales records.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and communicate the mission.
• Assist with shop and office cleanliness and safety.
• Act independently to meet community needs and support the mission.
