Job summary

Blue Ridge Care is seeking a Per Diem Thrift Associate to join the Winchester community store. You will price, stock, and display items, greet customers, and support volunteers to help fund patient care and hospice services.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer literacy, and retail or customer service experience. This is a part-time, on-site role with a nonprofit organization committed to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy required or willingness to learn.
• Retail experience and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Price, stock, and merchandise display items for sale.
• Open, close, and ensure the thrift shop operates properly during hours.
• Volunteer coordination and orient new volunteers to procedures.
• Maintain accurate receipts of sales and donations; ensure daily deposits.
• Greet customers and provide assistance about merchandise and mission.
• Keep shop, offices, and bathrooms clean, safe and organized.
• Act independently to meet community needs and shop objectives.
