Blue Ridge Care seeks a Thrift Associate to support daily thrift store operations, including sorting donations, pricing items, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will help maintain a welcoming shopping environment and assist volunteers to ensure smooth store performance.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and strong communication as we raise funds to support hospice services and patient care in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred/willingness to learn required.
• Retail experience and customer service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Price, stock, and merchandise display items for sale.
• Open, close, and ensure shop operates during hours with high customer service.
• Work with volunteers to assist in shop operations.
• Maintain receipts of sales and donations and ensure deposits are timely.
• Greet customers and answer questions about merchandise and mission.
• Ensure shop, offices, and bathrooms are clean and safe.
• Act independently to meet community needs and support the mission.
