Job summary

Blue Ridge Care Services in Stephens City, VA is seeking a Per Diem Thrift Associate to assist with daily thrift shop operations, including pricing, stocking, and customer service to support hospice services.

You will open/close shop, coordinate volunteers, process receipts and deposits, greet customers, and help maintain a clean, safe facility while acting independently to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred/willingness to learn required.
• Retail experience and customer service, preferred

Responsibilities

• Pricing, stock and merchandise display items for sale.
• Open/close shop and ensure hours and service standards.
• Coordinate volunteers and train new volunteers.
• Maintain receipts of sales and donations; ensure daily deposits are accurate.
• Greet customers and answer questions about merchandise and mission.
• Keep shop, offices, and bathrooms clean and safe.
• Work independently to meet community needs and mission.
