Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory in Concord, NH is seeking a friendly Thrift Store Sales Associate to support daily operations and deliver excellent customer service. You will process donations and sales, keep merchandise organized, and assist across store functions to maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (preferred) and strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and the physical ability to lift and move donations as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, and move donations and merchandise as required.
• Flexibility to assist across store functions (cashier, sorting, stocking, cleaning).

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors.
• Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep.
• Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
• Maintain merchandise displays and rotate stock to keep shelves organized and appealing.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment.
• Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
• Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Provide guidance to volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer.

The Thrift Store Sales Associate supports daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, processing donations and sales, and ensuring merchandise is prepared and displayed in accordance with store standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors.
• Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep.
• Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
• Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment.
• Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
• Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer.
