Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to support store operations and the production area. You will provide courteous, efficient service to customers and donors, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized displays to welcome visitors.

The role requires reliability, the ability to lift donations, and the flexibility to assist across store functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle donations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors.
• Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep.
• Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
• Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment.
• Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
• Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer.
