RWB Thrift, Escondido, CA, is seeking a Presorter to help kick off the sorting process for donated items. You will open bags, direct items to departments, and perform an initial quality check to determine saleability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle heavy lifting and sorting of donated items, including clothing, textiles, cardboard, plastics, furniture, electronics, and other items, while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Open bags or boxes of donated items and accurately sort them into appropriate tubs or bins by department.
• Conduct initial assessment of each item's condition to determine suitability for sale and ensure accurate documentation of arrivals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sorting area, ensuring items are placed in designated areas
• Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members, following store procedures and coordinating with colleagues to streamline sorting operations
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting targets and maintain productivity
• Assist with other tasks as needed to support thrift store operations
