Job summary

Bear River Casino Resort in Loleta, CA is seeking a full-time restaurant staff member to input orders in the POS system, complete customer transactions, and present meals to guests.

You will keep the dining room and service area clean, assist with daily cleaning duties, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

Uses the POS (Point of Sale) system to input specials and enter and complete customer orders. Cleans and resets tables, keeps countertops, floor and service area clean and presentable. Ensures food quality and provides excellent customer service.

• Keeps Three Rivers Eatery dining room and surrounding area clean and stocked.
• Does specific daily/weekly cleaning duties.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Cashier experience, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment.
• Must provide or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and maintain during employment.

Computer Operations

• Basic personal computer skills.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
