Description
JOB TITLE: Beverage Server
STATUS: Full Time or Part-time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
JOB GRADE: HG1
REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Shift Supervisor
SUPERVISES: N/A
WORKING HOURS

This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing friendly beverage service to all guest or patrons in an efficient, courteous and professional manner, displaying a high standard of guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Performs necessary tasks to serve guests (i.e. greets casino patrons, taking and filling all food and beverage orders.).
  • 2. Takes Beverage orders from casino patrons and delivers them promptly. Coordinates with bartenders when placing and retrieving beverage orders.
  • 3. Prepares guest checks via Point of Sale (POS) system; Completes and balances all transactions at the end of his/her shift.
  • 4. Acts as a waiter banker (self-banked and does not check out an imprest bank from the Cage) and provides change during guest checkout.
  • 5. Makes coffee as needed.
  • 6. Adds ice and changes soft drink containers.
  • 7. Prepares server station and ensures all stocking and side work are complete.
  • 8. Maintains a neat and clean service area.
  • 9. Acts immediately on all customer comments to ensure that corrections are made.
  • 10. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
  • 11. Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.
  • 12. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
  • 13. Attends all required meetings and training.
  • 14. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • 15. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • 3. Previous F&B experience preferred.

EDUCATION
  • 1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • 1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Bilingual skills preferred.
  • 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.
  • 3. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
  • 4. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

  • 3. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds to carry service trays. (depending on position)
  • 4. Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • 5. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
  • 6. Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • 1. This is a fast paced, highly diverse work environment, and the position requires the ability to remain flexible and get along with all personality types.
  • 2. Must be able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • 3. Must be able to respond calmly to customer concerns and questions.
  • 4. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
