Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration BU, seeks a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 2 (IR Plume Mod/Sim Systems Engineer) to join our on-site team at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

You will develop high-fidelity models and simulations, validate data, and troubleshoot complex systems, with travel up to 10% and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline preferred with 2 years of technical experience, or 0-2 years with a Masters degree.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Data engineering and validation of large-scale datasets.
• Thorough analytical rigor and verification of complex data.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of simulation issues.
• Debugging legacy and in-house tools without external support.
• Log parsing and error identification from complex outputs.
• Collaborating with team to meet schedules and timelines.
