Job summary

val's services is seeking a Specialist Director of Threat Management to lead the strategy, operations, and development of Threat Management and MDR services within our security practice.

You will define the roadmap for detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, and automation, oversee platform operations across endpoints, networks, cloud, data, email, SIEM and SOAR, and mentor a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years in cybersecurity, with leadership experience in security operations, MDR, threat management, or cyber defense.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC) preferred.
• Deep expertise in NDR, detection engineering, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR integration, and threat-informed defense.
• Proven experience managing 24x7 security operations, incident response, and service delivery metrics.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, advising CISOs and senior leaders, and aligning technical teams with business objectives.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams of analysts, engineers, threat hunters, and service delivery professionals.
