Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Threat Intelligence Software Engineer for Cloudforce One in a hybrid Austin, US setting. You will own the full software lifecycle, crafting scalable threat intelligence tools that empower analysts and protect customers around the world.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, data pipelines, and collaboration with Legal, Product, and Threat Intelligence teams to translate complex security requirements into robust, high-performance software.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• 5+ years building large-scale distributed software.
• 3+ years in Threat Intelligence or related platform support.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Production-ready Go and/or TypeScript code.
• Familiarity with Rust.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Expertise in writing well-tested code.
• Interest in mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, run, and scale distributed tools and services for threat disruption and platform integrity.
• Develop data pipelines to collect and analyze threat intelligence and expose IOCs/TPPs.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Trust & Safety, Legal, and Product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Improve system design for stability, performance, and maintainability of services.
• Analyze and communicate complex technical concepts across teams.
• Monitor and maintain production services; participate in on-call rotations.
• Mentor developers to promote best practices and reusable code.
• Write robust, well-tested code with clear documentation.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews.
