Job summary

Cyderes is hiring a Security Analyst II to deliver security solutions for clients. You will perform deep dive investigations, triage incidents, and align client postures with MITRE ATT&CK mappings, contributing to a proactive threat-hunting program.

You will work on a 1st shift Front Half schedule, participate in after-hours on-call, and collaborate across teams to reinforce Cyderes’ brand through expert analysis and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT security experience.
• System administration across Windows, Unix/Linux, and macOS.
• Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response tools (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Defender).
• Experience with at least one leading SIEM (Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, Chronicle).
• Industry certs such as Sec+, CEH, SANS (GCIH/GCIA/GSEC) or OSCP, or actively pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and advanced analysis across endpoint, server, and network infrastructure.
• Conduct threat hunting and provide remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate incident investigations and runbooks.
• Map attacker techniques to MITRE ATT&CK for clients.
• Update documentation and runbooks for repeatable analysis.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as Incident Controller.
• Analyze, review, and provide raw log data for escalations via SIEM.
• Communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally.
