Job summary

Cyderes is seeking a Managed Services Security Analyst II in the United States. You will perform deep dive investigations, map to MITRE ATT&CK, and coordinate incident response across endpoints, servers, and networks. The role requires hands-on IT security, SIEM experience, and EDR expertise, with a hybrid work model.

You will triage, hunt threats, update playbooks, and communicate findings while maintaining current threat knowledge and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT security experience with hands-on security operations.
• System administration experience across Windows, Unix/Linux, and Mac.
• Strong networking knowledge and ability to analyze network artifacts.
• Experience with EDR tools such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and Defender.
• Experience with leading SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, Chronicle, Sentinel).
• Industry certifications such as Sec+, CEH, SANS (GCIH/GCIA/GSEC/GMON) or in progress.
• Basic scripting or development in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Triage and perform advanced analysis across endpoint, server, and network infrastructure.
• Threat hunting on customer networks to detect threats and provide recommendations.
• Conduct proactive security investigations and searches on client environments.
• Coordinate incident investigations and deep-dive analysis of threats.
• Map client use cases to MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques.
• Update runbooks and documentation for repeatable analysis.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as Incident Controller.
• Document and communicate recommendations based on analysis results.
