Job summary

Cyderes is seeking a Managed Services Security Analyst II to deliver security solutions for clients. You will perform deep dive investigations and map MITRE ATT&CK to client postures, coordinating incident response with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of IT security, hands-on EDR and SIEM experience, and strong scripting skills. Role is 1st shift with a hybrid in-office schedule across the United States.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of progressing/in-depth IT security experience.
• System Administration experience (Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac).
• Advanced understanding of networking concepts and ability to analyze network artifacts.
• Demonstrate experience in using Endpoint Detection and Response software (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Defender, etc.).
• Demonstrate experience in at least one leading SIEM platform (Splunk, Elastic, IBM QRadar, Chronicle, etc.).
• Possess at least one industry certification Sec+, CEH, SANS Certification (e.g. GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, GMON), OSCP etc. or working towards a related certification.
• Basic scripting or development experience in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and advanced analysis across endpoint, server, and network infrastructure.
• Threat hunting on customer networks to detect, isolate threats and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate incident investigations and deep dive analysis on detected threats.
• Update documentation and runbooks to ensure repeatable analysis.
• Contribute to on-call rotation as Incident Controller.
• Scope customer security incidents and communicate recommendations based on results.
