Job summary

ECS is seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst 2 in Fairfax, VA to lead incident response efforts and mentor junior SOC analysts. You will develop custom detections aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and conduct threat hunting to identify and mitigate threats.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in SOC, with expertise in SIEM tools, and the ability to obtain a SECRET Government Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET Government Security Clearance.
• Prior experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Ability to facilitate remediation of threats by collaborating with IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response efforts including forensic triage.
• Mentor junior SOC analysts.
• Develop and implement custom detections aligned with MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
• Conduct threat hunting and perform data analytics.

Skills

3+ years of SOC or cybersecurity-related experience

Experience with SIEM tools

Deep understanding of modern cybersecurity threats

Experience in incident response processes

Scripting ability in Python or PowerShell

Strong communication skills

Education
