Job summary

ManTech is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in McLean, VA to join our Cyber Incident Response Team. You will detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents, leveraging SIEM and other detection technologies to safeguard enterprise assets.

The role requires 2+ years in cybersecurity and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. DoD 8570 IAT-II certification is required or obtainable after hire, with a commitment to ongoing threat analysis and remediation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cybersecurity or related technical field.
• Familiar with SIEM, network security tools, log analysis, and security principles.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Detect and monitor incidents using SIEM and other tools.
• Analyze incidents to determine nature and impact; perform forensic analysis.
• Document findings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Execute incident response plans to contain, mitigate, and remediate incidents.
• Stay updated on threats and assist vulnerability management.
• Prepare incident reports and support playbook development.
