Job summary

Shift: 2nd Shift: 4:30pm - 1:00am with daily and weekend overtime as needed.

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

Plus Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour

Job Description: The position will be responsible for locating work orders and ensuring the use of correct material and setup to produce a quality part. The successful incumbent will be detail‑oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Pull correct part off cart by using work order identification
  • Identify correct chasers
  • Read drawings for proper fabrication of parts
  • Cut threads to correct length and depth
  • Identify parts and place on skid to be delivered to proper location
  • Use hand tools and read a tape measure
Education / Experience / Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Previous experience operating a threader preferred but not required
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read from paper instructions
  • Ability to adapt to change and flex work at appropriate times to support production needs
  • Ability to safely and effectively choose and operate hand tools (manual, pneumatic and electrical)
  • Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
  • Ability to plan work and select correct chasers
  • Ability to compare and accurately determine differences in size, shape, and form of objects
  • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to multi‑task
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow and understand directions
Physical Demands
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required
  • Use both hands overhead
  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Plant environment with potential exposure to all types of weather, including excessive heat, excessive cold, and excessive noise
