Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Set up and operate various threadroll machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.

  • Use and set all gages, micrometers, calipers, plug and ring gages, comparator, and microscope.
  • Understand threadroll part feature terminology.
  • Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, process control procedures, policies and procedures.
  • Use the necessary measuring tools.
  • Recognize improper machine functioning and report any safety concerns.
  • Perform first‑piece verification per part print and conduct loaf pan inspections.
  • Perform daily 5S on work area and equipment, and understand lean principles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance daily at shift start.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Communicate effectively and apply basic shop math.
  • Pass the production stamp test.
  • Understand QMS.
  • Complete transactions in Shop-Trak accurately.
Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and understand blueprints.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 0‑6 months experience in threadrolling aircraft quality fasteners on various types of threadroll machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: Regularly stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Occasionally walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

Expected pay range: $19.00 - $29.86 per hour.

Compensation can vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Additional incentives such as bonuses may be provided.
