Job summary

B & G Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Thread Roll Operator to join our production team. This position safely sets up and operates thread rolling equipment to produce threaded components meeting customer and engineering specs.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting parts with gauges, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate thread rolling machines safely and efficiently
• Produce threaded parts that meet blueprint, work order, and quality specifications
• Inspect parts using measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and material requirements
• Maintain productivity and quality standards established by supervision and engineering
• Monitor tooling condition and notify supervision when repairs or replacements are needed
• Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Experience operating thread rolling machinery preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Experience using measuring equipment and performing quality inspections
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members

Preferred Experience

• 2-4 years of thread rolling or related manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of threading and fastener manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality control procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials up to 70 pounds
• Required to wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
