Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our Thoracic Surgery team, with inpatient and multidisciplinary coordination across hospital care. This full-time role requires NCCPA certification, NY license, and at least 2 years in surgical/acute care, preferably CT Surgery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• NCCPA certification required.
• Active state PA license and prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for thoracic patients from assessment to postoperative ICU care.
• Assist in thoracic surgical procedures (thoracotomy, VATS, minimally invasive).
• Manage ICU patients including ventilated and unstable cases; monitor hemodynamics and sedation.
