Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri seeks an advanced practice provider (NP/PA) to join a Thoracic Surgery team. The role emphasizes acute and chronic care, collaboration with surgeons, fellows, and residents, and a strong, supportive team culture.

The position offers 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM), no nightly calls, and a weekend every four weeks. New graduates are encouraged to apply and a Doctorate is preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
• MO APRN board certification/elig
• Doctorate preferred; 2–5 years of experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient- and family-centered care for acute and chronic thoracic surgery patients in inpatient setting.
• Performs assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination.
• Collaborates with physicians, residents, fellows, and APP team.
• Engages in professional development and adheres to standards of care.
• Works in a safety-sensitive role with alertness and professionalism.
