Job summary

BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL in Missouri is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support the Thoracic Surgery team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, and document care accurately.

This 36-hour weekly role includes rotating day and night shifts, every third weekend, and rotating holidays, within a Magnet-recognized hospital that emphasizes patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant preferred (CNA).

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under supervision of the nurse.
• Administers or assists with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Performs vital signs and basic measurements.
• Documents all patient care activities with medical terminology.
• Reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Supports patient safety and comfort, and participates in professional development.
