Job summary

HonorHealth Heart & Lung Surgery is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join a Thoracic Surgery team in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The role combines inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic work, and first-assist duties in the OR alongside three fellowship-trained thoracic surgeons and three APPs.

The position offers day-time Monday–Friday scheduling with about one weekend call per month, located at John C.

Qualifications

• PA-C or Acute Care NP; Arizona license preferred.
• Surgical experience welcomed, new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic duties.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Collaborate with Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology teams.
• Work with Epic EMR to document care.

HonorHealth Heart & Lung Surgery is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our growing Thoracic Surgery team.

Join a collaborative team of three fellowship-trained thoracic surgeons and three experienced APPs, with the addition of a fourth APP to support continued program growth. This role offers a diverse mix of inpatient care, outpatient clinic, and operating room responsibilities, providing excellent mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.

Position Highlights

• Join a collaborative team of 3 Thoracic Surgeons and 3 APPs
• Opportunity for new graduates or experienced APPs
• Mix of inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic, and first assist in the OR
• Monday–Friday daytime schedule with approximately one weekend call per month
• Primary location: John C. Lincoln Medical Center
• Secondary location: Scottsdale Shea Medical Center
• Work alongside both Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology teams
• Epic EMR

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP preferred)
• Arizona license (or ability to obtain before start)
