Job summary

SSM Health Care System is seeking a full-time Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative, patient-centered team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis.

The role includes operation with three thoracic surgeons and three RN navigators in a setting that supports autonomy, mentorship, and work-life balance. The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, clinical duties including follow-up and post-op visits, and strong

Qualifications

• Surgical APP practice experience sought; if you are a new or recent graduate with surgical clinicals or rotations, please inquire
• Missouri NP/APRN or PA licensure/certification

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities seeing follow-up and post-op patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital
• Hospital rounding on post-op patients and clinical prep at both SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital and SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital
• Ability to have a well-rounded practice with excellent collaboration with physician/surgeons and amazing nursing staff
• No nights or weekends
• Strong onboarding and physician mentorship
• Mission-driven, patient-focused culture

Education

Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
