Job summary

Duke Raleigh Thoracic Surgery Clinic in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to collaborate with attending physicians, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and provide direct patient care. Primary hours are Monday through Friday with a day shift and flexibility to meet clinic needs.

The role requires completion of an accredited NP or PA program, NC licensure, and certification in BLS/ACLS; experience in thoracic surgery or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with applicable state licenses.
• Must have or be eligible for NC RN licensure for NP path; PA must be NC-licensed.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in thoracic surgery clinic setting.
• Perform triage, data collection, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures under supervision.
• Coordinate orders, labs, imaging, and consultations.
• Document patient data accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in teaching and research activities as assigned.
