Job summary

Allina Health in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN seeks a fellowship-trained Thoracic Surgeon to join a system-wide cancer program.

You will perform robotic thoracic surgery, VATS, bronchoscopy, and complex esophageal procedures, while treating lung and chest diseases within a collaborative care model. You will participate in weekly tumor boards, share call coverage, and contribute to growing thoracic oncology services across the Allina Health network, with an emphasis on clinical excellence and

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Completion of an accredited Thoracic Surgery training program.
• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Minnesota.
• 2+ years of trained thoracic or cardiothoracic surgeon with emphasis in thoracic malignancy.
• 2+ years of robotic surgical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive thoracic oncology care across the system.
• Perform open and minimally invasive thoracic procedures including robotic surgery and VATS.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with oncology specialists.
• Share call coverage with other thoracic surgeons.
• Grow and shape the thoracic oncology program within a growing health system.
